Japanese Language and Culture week press conference was held at Time Square Shopping Centre on the 14th or March 2016. During a press conference, the second secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Brunei Darussalam, Yuki Iida, said that the event focuses more on the academic aspect.

Numerous activities have been arranged for visitors during the event, which will incorporate Japanese traditional culture; modern pop culture; information on studying in Japan; the Japanese youth exchange programme supported by its government; and other tourism information.

The event is organised by Times Square, the Japanese Embassy and Japan Foundation as well as supported by organisations such as the Brunei Association of Japan Alumni (BAJA), Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO) and the Youth and Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) among others.

The Japanese Language and Culture week will be happening on the 18th of March until 20th of March 2016 at the Times Square’s Atrium.
